16 New Super-Earth Like Planets Discovered


The European Southern Observatory has just announced the discovery of more than 50 new exoplanets (planets outside our solar system), including 16 super-Earths (planets whose mass is between one and 10 times that of our own planet). One Planet in partinular called HD 85512 b could very well sustain life if conditions are right. According to scientists HD 85512 b is about three and a half times the size of Earth and about 35 lightyears away.
